Steps to Register for Your GED

  1. First, make sure you meet our application requirements.
  2. Review our testing policy and testing schedule.
  3. Review what's on the GED.
  4. If you have previously passed the Illinois and U.S. Constitution Test (usually given in high school government class), you will need to contact your high school to request an official transcript be sent to our office to show proof of passing. You must pass the Illinois/U.S. Constitution test to obtain a high school diploma or GED in the state of Illinois.
  5. Visit our office between 8:00am and 4:00pm to fill out the paperwork and schedule tests. Be sure to bring your Illinois State issued ID or Driver's License with your current address and $50.00 cash ONLY.
